UI - Ecommerce Templates

Project Overview

My Role: All research, site maps, lo-fi wires, hi-fi wires, mockups for the template marketplace, and product vision/thinking.

Goals: Create 4 responsive ecommerce templates for a design/development marketplace.

Timeline: 1-2 months

Client: PXP

Results: 4 clean ecommerce templates with all assets ready for the marketplace.

In this project, I partnered with a client who was wanting 4 ecommerce templates that they could then code and place on marketplaces as pre-designed/coded packages. Each template would have the same sitemap but have a different design. We started with some mini wireframes to pin down the frame. Our target audience being those who purchase templates, these had to be slick and easy to work with.

Big wireframes were completed after for 4 different layouts of the same idea. There was a need to make them similar but different enough that the audience would want to collect all of them for future websites they create.

Hi-fi wireframes were completed. Each design had four different "skins" of how it could look for different industries. The industries being: automotive, construction, industrial, and tech. This example is a construction "skin" of the Slate design.

Since these designs would be on a marketplace, there needed to be some great mockups to show the potential of how they would look on different devices that they would be used on.

After the designs were approved and the mocks were to the client’s satisfaction, each design needed it's own product page assets to sell the template. These were branded according to the client’s specifications and the site requirements.

This project was then tied off and handed over to the client. I really enjoyed exploring different ecommerce designs!
